Volumes II and III only of three volume set. Full dark blue leather bindings with gilt and blind-stamped decoration to boards, five raised bands, gilt titles and decoration to spines. Undated, circa 1850s. Volume II - 132pp; Volume III - 132pp. Leather is rubbed to edges and spine ends, a few scuffs, but otherwise good, binding to both volumes solid and tight. Edges of text blocks gilded. Marbled endpapers. Frontispiece engraving with tissue guard to both volumes, Volume II title and contents pages have become detached, not present. Both lavishly illustrated with plate engravings of biblical scenes by various artists including Rubens, Poussin, Murillo etc.
