London: Adam & Company. pp 324. Undated publication but there is reference to his death  in 1873 and end paper signature dated 1879.
Upper completely detached but present, in black buckram with gold titles and decoration. Bruised to peripheries, where the covering has worn away to expose tan card. Lower still attached but similarly bruised and scuffed to the face. Spine strip virtually absent: just two panels remain, along with the remnants of a couple more.
Block edges in nice gold, good condition. Frontispiece lithograph with tissue. The lithographic plates appear to be all there but hard to find.
Excellent map of Africa and the river systems to rear end paper.
