The Life of Benjamin Waugh

£7.99

Product description

The book reflects the life of Benjamin Waugh "the champion of the child", whose efforts to establish the society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

He discovered by personal investigation that the cases of cruelty to children- cruelty, inflicted in many cases by their own parents , relations and persons who had charge of them- were far more numerous than the general public at that time supposed.

Difficulties founded and objections met with Benjamin Waugh at every turn. He was however, a man of indomitable courage, energy and perseverance.

No dust jacket. There is rubbing and bumping to the covers of the book. There is a little foxing on the page edges but, for the most part, the pages are clean and the binding is firm.
