Vol I. Books I - V. pp 364. First edition, 1938

Blue cloth boards, a little shelf cocked, worn to the faces and spine. Corners generally very good but spine tips frayed, with small 1mm tears. Gold titles to spine. Hinges very good. Top edge gilt; other edges tanned and rather grubby. Bottom edge rough cut.
All pages tanned. The book was bought from Bowes & Bowes in Cambridge. Presentation certificate from St. Albans High School for Girls, 1938.
Hard going Greek with translational text below.

Vol II. Books VI - X and indexes. pp 532. First edition, 1929 - the book was bought separately from vol I.
Condition similar to Vol I; the book is not cocked but the upper is somewhat bowed. Presented to the school swot on the same occasion.
