Tan cloth hard covers with black titles on the front and spine. Hard covers in very good overall condition with just some light rubbing at the top and base of the spine and at the tips of the corners, and a short strip of damage to the cloth on the fore edge of the rear board. Text block binding is tight, pages are lightly tanned (book was printed in 1946 to War Economy Standard), no inscriptions. Dust jacket has edge wear with chipping at the top of the spine, several short tears and a short patch of damage on the rear fold; small splash mark on the front at the top left corner. A concise account of the theory, design and operation of transformers. Many diagrams and examples.

Oxfam Bookshop Lymington

Lymington is on the South coast, bordering on the New Forest National Park which was created as a Royal Forest in 1079 by William the Conqueror, and first recorded as 'Nova Foresta' in the Doomsday Book in 1086. Our Oxfam Shop at 73, The High Street is in a lovely Georgian building, the tallest in Lymington. The elegant Georgian buildings lining the wide main street were built mostly for merchants in the local salt trade. The famous Saturday market brings the town to life with its variety of stalls. The area is renowned for outdoor pursuits, including camping, sailing, windsurfing, and surfing, as well as forest walks and horse riding.
